an international association which serves providers of air and surface medical transport systems.

COLLABORATING FOR AIRBORNE ASSURANCE / GETTING HOME SAFELY. . . Through a network of ground, rotor and fixed wing emergency response programs, the California Association of Air Medical Services (Cal-AAMS) is a non-profit consortium of all air ambulance providers with in California.

Each year we facilitate a Safety Summit conference, our mission; to better serve our community through continued training and education for the patients we serve. All air response providers are encouraged to attend, including law enforcement and search and rescue, as well as EMS ground responders, clinicians who are also welcome to attend.

As per our core mission and keeping with our mission; we do not charge for this safety summit, as promoting safety among our patients, staff, ground personnel and bystanders are of the utmost importance in "Getting Home Safely..."

This course will review risk and safety management and practices for field medical responders and transport teams operating in high stress environments and under critical circumstances, and focus on maintaining the physical and mental well-being of the providers themselves. Attendees will explore how team members acquire, process and make information actionable, and learn strategies to effectively assess and mitigate risk. Experts in the field will discuss self-awareness and diagnosis techniques in order for teams to recognize the potential for compromising the safety of their patients and themselves.
